Is the internet changing the way we think?

This is probably one of the most easily debatable topics out there. Anything to do with technology and how it is affecting us is. And while there is a significant about of data/research/whatever to support both opinions, I believe that the internet is changing the way we think, just not in a negative way. Obviously the internet and technology have affected the way we live. Comparing my generation to the previous is a simple way of seeing that. But I believe that the internet has had more of positive affect on people and the way we live/think than negative. No people aren't reading hard copy books as much, but I can fairly easily gain access to almost any text online, sometimes for free. And the internet has basically become one giant encyclopedia of information. If I have a question about something, the first place I usually go is google. I can easily and quickly access information on just about anything. Of course, the quickness at which we can gain information has caused me to be more impatient than say my mother or grandmother, but it has also given me more time to gain more information. If I don't have to get up and go to the library and read an entire book to learn about something, then I have more time to learn about more things. I think the internet and technology are helping people grow and become more knowledgable as a whole. Obviously, there are a lot of incorrect or non-stimulating things on the internet, but if you use it in a positive way, then you can gain so much from what the internet has to offer and change your brain in a positive way.
